On September 27, Winpak encourages employees at our Canadian
locations to wear orange to recognize the National Day for Truth and
Reconciliation (September 30, 2024). We also invite everyone to take the time
to educate themselves on the true history of these lands and of the people who
have lived here since time immemorial.
As a business situated on and operating on Treaty lands,
Winpak recognizes our responsibility to respond to the Truth and Reconciliation
Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action. This year, in response to Call #92, 15
members of Winpak’s Canadian leadership teams completed the TRC Call to Action
#92 Reconciliation Awareness Program. This course allows leaders to determine
actions from a place of authenticity and awareness.
As a strategic priority, Winpak is embedding diversity,
equity, and inclusion into our processes and business decisions. Through
actions such as collecting demographic data, reviewing our talent acquisition
processes, monitoring the diversity of our suppliers, and partnering with local
communities, we commit to ensuring that our organization is an inclusive
workplace in which everyone can fully participate and succeed.
